Malai Rabri
Malai Rabri is an authentic Indian Dessert,served individually aswell as with other Indian desserts.Its taste is awesome.Generally it takes a long time to prepare Rabri,but here is an easy and less time consuming recipe.Hope u all like it :)

Ingredients
1 litre full cream milk
3 loafs of bread(sides removed)
1/2 cup sugar
5-6 Saffron threads(soaked in 1tsp of water)
2 tsp cardomom powder
Chopped pistachios and almonds

Method:
1.Boil milk and as soon as it begins to boil,reduce the heat.
2.cook the milk on simmer.
3.Add the loaves of bread and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, until the milk thickens.
4.Add sugar, cardmom powder and saffron.
5.Mix gently and switch off the gas.
6. Let it cool and put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
7. Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds.
Wallah yummy rabri is ready to be served.

Aate ka sheera

Indian meal is not complete without its desserts.They are really very simple to make and mouthwatering at the same time,here are some recipes.Hope you like them  :)

Aatte ka Sheera
Ingredients
1/2cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup sugar
1cup Ghee or clarified butter( you can add more as per your taste)
1/2 tsp elaichi powder or cardamom powder
2 cups of water
some almonds and raisins for garnishing

 Method
1.Heat ghee in a non stick pan on medium heat and add elaichi powder.
2.Add the entire wheat flour to the heated ghee & stir quickly till the wheat flour turns golden brown (however be careful not to stir the wheat flour for long as it might start burning).
3.Now add sugar and stir for 30 seconds and add  water.
4.Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed add the nuts  and cook for another minute.
5.Switch of the gas and serve hot.

Cheese Balls

Ingredients
200gms cottage cheese
1green chilli
2 tsp flour
2 tsp semolina
2loafs of bread soaked in water
salt to taste
oil for frying


Method
1.Squeeze out all the water from bread.
2.Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, except for oil.
3.Mix all of them with hand and make balls out of the mixture.
4.Deep fry these balls.
5.Serve hot with tomato sauce.

Dahi Ki Sabji

Well this is a home recipe, tastes best with crispy parantha, hope you all like it too..happy cooking :)

Ingredients
2cups curd
2 onions
1tsp cumin seeds
1/2tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 green chilli
1tbsp oil
salt to taste
coriander for garnishing

Method:
1.Put the curd in a muslin cloth and hang it for 2-3 hours.
2.Cut the onions and keep aside.
3.Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, now add onions cook till they are pink.
4.Add turmeric and green chill, mix well and turn of the heat.
5.After 5 mins add the curd, salt to taste and mix well.
6.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with hot paranthas.

Tomato Soup

I was tired of eating instant soups, so this time I decided to do it myself. I love tomato soup, and this inspired me for the next recipe, its an easy recipe. I hope u all like this tangy tomato soup recipe.


INGREDIENTS
5 medium sized tomatoes
2 medium sized carrots
salt as per taste
3 cloves
5 black pepper corns
1tsp sugar
water

METHOD
1.In a cooker, cook the tomatoes and carrot with enough water until one whistle.
2.Now grind the tomatoes and carrots in a mixer or a food processor until you get a puree.
3. In a pan put this puree, add 4 cups of water and allow it to boil.
4.Strain the mixture through a strainer to separate seeds from the soup.
5.Dry roast the cloves and black pepper, crush  them and add to the soup, along with the salt.
6.Once again bring the soup to a boil, add one tsp sugar, and simmer for 2 mins.
7.Yummy tomato soup is ready, serve hot.

Birthday cake
This Post is dedicated to some of my friends, who have become an imporatnt part of my life, luv u (Aashima, Neha,Garima and Nikita).The recipe which I have given is of eggless chocolate cake..hope u all like it...enjoy baking :)



Recipe is as follows....

Ingredients for the cake
1 1/3 cups Maida
1 cup powdered Sugar
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup Refined Oil
3 tbsp. Cocoa Powder
1 tps. Baking Soda
1 tbps. vinegar
1 tsp. Vanilla Essence

Method:
1.Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
2.Now mix all wet ingredients in another bowl.
3.Now fold in the wet ingredients with the dry ones, make sure no lumps are there.
4.Grease the baking dish properly and pour in the cake batter.
5.Cook for about 7-8minutes on high temperature in a microwave.
Cake is ready, remove it in  a plate and let it cool.
Now foe decorating the cake,we need to prepare chocolate glaze..

Ingredients for chocolate glaze
1cup powdered sugar
3 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 tsp milk

Method
1.Mix all the ingredients together, make sure no lumps remain, heat the glaze for 1 minute and remove from the heat.
2.Pour it evenly over the cake.
3.Decorate the cake with fresh cherries and chocolate shavings or any other way you like.

The yummy birthday cake is ready to be cut :)))

Basil and Tomato Pasta

Ingredients
3-4 garlic cloves minced
1onion chopped
2tomato's puree
2tbsp tomato sauce
7-8 basil leaves
1 tsp black pepper powder
2cups boiled penne pasta
salt as per taste
1/2tsp sugar
4tbsp olive oil
parsley for garnishing(optional)


Method:
1.In a non stick pan heat olive oil and saute garlic and onion.
2.Now add tomato puree and tomato sauce, basil leaves and a little water, cook for 3-4 mins.
3.Add pasta and mix well.
4.Now add salt and black pepper powder a little sugar and keep pasta covered for 3-4 mins on low heat.
5.Remove the lid, garnish with parsley and serve hot.





Instant Utpam

Ingredients
1 cup sooji
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup curd
1 tbsp baking powder
1 small sized capsicum chopped
1 chopped onion
1 chopped carrot
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
3-4 chopped beans
1-2 chopped green chilli
some coriander
salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil


Mehod:
-In a bowl mix sooji, water and curd and keep aside for 10 mins.
-Now add baking powder and mix well.
-Put all the chopped vegetables in a bowl and add some salt.
-Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
-Spread the sooji batter on the pan and spread some vegetables on the batter and cook both sides om low flame.
-Your upma is ready to eat.Serve hot with nariyal(coconut) chutney or Sambhar :)

Colorful Vegee Pasta

Well this recipe is a result of some experimentation,hope you like it...

Ingredients
4tbsp olive oil
1tbsp butter or margarine
1tbsp minced garlic cloves
1chopped onion
1/2green bell pepper cut into squares
1/2yellow bell pepper cut into squares
3-4 mushrooms cut into small pieces
3-4 florets of brocolli
2tbsp boiled corn
2cups boiled pasta(any shape)
pulp of 1 tomato
2tbsp cream or malai
1/2tbsp black pepper powder
5-6 basil leaves
salt as per taste

METHOD:
1.Heat oil in a nonstick pan, and add butter or margarine to it.
2.Add garlic and onion and saute until pink.
3.Now add mushroom, corn and bell peppers.
4.Blanch brocolli in boiling water for 3-4 mins and then add to the pan, cook for 3-4 mins.
5.Now add the pasta, salt,cream or malai and black pepper powder,mix well.
6.Add tomato pulp, mix well and keep it covered for 2-3 mins.
7.Garnish with basil leaves and serve hot.

Sooji Upma

Sooji Upma


Ingredients:
-4tbsp ghee
-1 cup sooji or semolina
-1 inch ginger chopped
-1 chopped onion
-1/2 capsicum chopped
-1 carrot chopped
-3-4 dried red chillies
-1 tbsp mustard seeds
-1 tbsp chana dal
-5-6curry leaves
-3-4 cashews chopped
-salt as per taste
-3 cups water
-chopped coriander for garnishing


Mehod:
1.In  a pan heat 3 tbsp ghee and add red chillies,mustard seeds, chana dal, curry leaves and cashews.Wait till mustard seeds begin to splatter.
2.Now add onion and ginger and saute till onion turns pink.Now add capsicum and carrot and cook till crunchy, dont overcook.
3.Now add sooji and saute till it changes colour to offwhite.
4.Now add salt and water, mix well and simmer the gas stove.(Add more water if upma is too thick)
5.Cook for 30 seconds more, switch off the gas and garnish with one tbsp ghee and coriander and serve hot.


This is a very easy breakfast recipe which gets ready very fast and yummy to eat :)

Bhel puri

I luv all kinds of chats, Bhel puri is yet another favourite.Here's the recipe..

Ingredients:
1cup puffed rice(kurmure)
1/2cup sev
5-6papris
1chopped onion
1/2tomato chopped
1/2boiled potato chopped
dhania patti
4tbsp curd
2tbsp hari chutney
2tbsp tamarind chutney
4-5 ginger juveniles
1 chopped green chilli
salt as per taste

METHOD:
1.In a bowl mix sev, kurmure, papri, potato, tomato, green chilli, onion.
2.Mix curd and hari chutney together and add to the above mixture, also add tamarind chutney and salt.Mix well.
3.Garnish with dhania patti and ginger juveniles.Serve immediately.
Yummy chat is ready to eat :)

Chatpate Matar kulche

So dear foodies here's another interesting recipe...easy to make and yummy to tatse..:)
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups white matar(peas)
1 cup chopped tomato
1 cup chopped onion
4-5 chopped green chillies
10-12 ginger slices or juveniles
2 tbsp amchoor powder
1 tbsp garam masala
2 tbsp tamarind (imli) pulp
salt as per taste
1 tbsp roasted cumin powder
juice of 2 lemons
choppped coriander for garnishing
A packet of kulchas
50 gms of paneer for garnishing
3 tbsp oil

Method:
1. Soak matar for 3-4 hours in warm water and then boil them into a cooker (1 whistle is enough) and add salt as per taste.
2.Now add some oil to it alongwith chopped tomatoes, onions , chillies, cumin powder, amchoor powder, chillie powder, garam masala powder and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
3.To serve pour them in a bowl and garnish with green chilli slices, ginger juveniles, fresh coriander and very small paneer pieces.
4.Serve with Hot Kulchas...:)

Crispy besan bread

Well this is a perfect evening snack...and this actually consumes very less time...Here's the recipe..:)
Ingredients
4 slices of bread
3/4 cup besan or gram flour
water
2tbsp chopped onion
1-2tbsp chopped green chilles
1 tbsp each chopped bell peppers(green and red)
1tbsp very finely shredded cabbage
1 tbsp tomato cut in small pieces
1 tbsp chopped coriader
salt as per taste
3-4 tbsp oil
Method.
1. Mix besan, salt and water(enough to make a smooth batter) well, make sure no lumps remain.
2.Now add all the vegetables and mix well.
3.Take a non stick pan, and heat 1 tbsp oil.
4.Take the slices of bread and cut them into triangles, now dip each triangle in the batter and place them on the pan and pan fry on the both sides till crispy.
5.Do the same for other bread slices aswell and serve hot with Pudine ki chatni or tomato ketchup :)))

Ice cream with fruit salad..

Who doesnt like to have desserts???No meal is complete until u finish it with dessert,here's an interesting and easy dessert recipe.Hope u all enjoy it..here's the recipe...:)
Ingredients
2 scoops of vanilla icecream
2 tbsp papaya cut into small pieces
2-3 strawberry
2-3 blue berry
3tbsp banana cut into small pieces
3tbsp mango
3-4 cherries
2tbsp green apple cut into small pieces
2tbsp red apple cut into small pieces
2tbsp powdered sugar
2tbsp balsamic vinegar
3tbsp honey
Some nuts (optional)
Mehod:
1.In a bowl mix all the fruits together.
2.In  another bowl take sugar,vinegar and 1tbsp of honey, mix well.
3.Now pour this dressing over the fruits and mix well. Your fruit salad is ready.
4.For the dessert in a serving bowl put some fruit salad, now put one scoop of vanilla icecream over it, again put some fruits over the icecream and again top it with vanilla icecream.
5.Finally, decorate with fruit sald and pour honey over it.
Yummy dessert is ready to eat...enjoy..:))
Balsamic vinegar brings out the juices of the fruits.You can use fruits and icecream as per your taste, but the above recipe also tastes well. Do try it.

Snacky idli

Have you ever tasted snacky Idli??Well here's a very interesting recipe for instant snacky Idli, a perfect evening snack.I am sure you are gonna love it...here's the recipe...
Ingredients
1 cup sooji
1/3 cup curd
1½ cup warm water
½tbsp baking powder
salt as per taste
1 bell pepper
2onions
1 tomato
1carrot
½cup chopped cabbage
½cup boiled corn kernnels
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1tbsp soya sauce
3tbsp tomato ketchup
4tbspolive oil
1-2 dried red chillies
1tbsp mustard seeds
6-7 curry leaves

Method
1.Cut onion,carrot, bell pepper and cabbage into long strips.
2.Mix sooji,curd, half tbsp salt and water to make a smooth batter, make sure no lumps remain.
3.Allow the mixture to stand for half an hour.Now add baking powder mix well and steam the idlis.After idlis are well cooked cut them into small pieces.
4.In a pan heat the olive oil. Add dried red chillies, mustard seeds and curry leaves, wait till mustard seeds crackle.
5.Now add onions and saute them till they turn pink, now add corn and rest of the vegges and saute them.
6.After they are done add tomatoes,chilli sauce,soya sauce and tomato ketchup.Mix well and simmer the gas stove and keep it covered for 2-3 minutes.
7.Now add the idlis and mix well and again keep it covered for 2-3 mins, keeping the gas on simmer.
8.Switch off the gas and serve hot.

Corn chat

Well if you are getting bored at home and you nothing important to do, try this interesting corn chat recipe.This is perfect treat to your tastebuds, and this can be made with simple ingredients always present at home. So, here's the recipe....
Ingredients
2 cups of boiled corn kernells
1 onion
1 tomato
1 boiled potato
1 packet of kurkure
1-2 green chillies
juice of 1 lemon
coriander for garnishing
salt as per taste
1 ice cream cone 
Yummy corn chat..

Method
1.In a bowl, mix boiled corn kernells,chopped onion,tomato,boiled potato cut into small pieces and green chilli.
2.Now add salt and lemon juice and mix properly.
3.Garnish with choppped coriander leaves and kurkure.
4.Serve in an ice cream cone.

Choco treat

This is an easy yet interesting recipe.Chocolate lovers are surely gonna love this too.So here's the recipe...
Ingredients
A pack of chcolate custard
5oo gm milk
4 tbsp sugar
2tbsp cocoa powder
choco chips
10-12 roasted almonds
chcolate flavoured wafers

Method
1.In 1/2 cup milk add 4 tbsp custard powder and 2 tbsp cocoa powder, mix well to form a smooth paste, no lumps should remain.
2.In  a saucepan heat rest of the milk with 4 tbsp of sugar, as the milk begins to boil add the paste, stirring continuously.Switch off the gas stove and allow custard to cool in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
3.To serve, take a glass, on the base of the glass put some choco chips and roasted almonds,now pour the chilled custard over it. Repeat the process once again.
4.Decorate the custard with more choco chips, almonds and chocolate flavoured wafers.
Your yummy dessert is ready to eat. enjoy:))

Coconut chutney

Ingredients 
1 cup grated fresh coconut or dried coconut(soaked for 4-5 hours)
2 tbsp roasted chana dal
1/3 cup yogurt
salt as per taste
1 tbsp mustard seeds
5-6 curry leaves
1-2 dried red chillies
2 tbsp oil or ghee

Method :
1.In a mixer, grind yogurt,chana dal, grated coconut, to make a smooth paste.
2.Now add salt per taste and mix properly.
3.For the tempering, in a saucepan heat 2 tbsp oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and dried red chillies.When the mustard seeds begin to crackle, tempering is ready.Add to the chutney and mix well.
 Tasty coconut chutney is ready to eat.Serve with Dosa, Idli or any other dish.
