Basil and Tomato Pasta

Ingredients
3-4 garlic cloves minced
1onion chopped
2tomato's puree
2tbsp tomato sauce
7-8 basil leaves
1 tsp black pepper powder
2cups boiled penne pasta
salt as per taste
1/2tsp sugar
4tbsp olive oil
parsley for garnishing(optional)


Method:
1.In a non stick pan heat olive oil and saute garlic and onion.
2.Now add tomato puree and tomato sauce, basil leaves and a little water, cook for 3-4 mins.
3.Add pasta and mix well.
4.Now add salt and black pepper powder a little sugar and keep pasta covered for 3-4 mins on low heat.
5.Remove the lid, garnish with parsley and serve hot.





Instant Utpam

Ingredients
1 cup sooji
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup curd
1 tbsp baking powder
1 small sized capsicum chopped
1 chopped onion
1 chopped carrot
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
3-4 chopped beans
1-2 chopped green chilli
some coriander
salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil


Mehod:
-In a bowl mix sooji, water and curd and keep aside for 10 mins.
-Now add baking powder and mix well.
-Put all the chopped vegetables in a bowl and add some salt.
-Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
-Spread the sooji batter on the pan and spread some vegetables on the batter and cook both sides om low flame.
-Your upma is ready to eat.Serve hot with nariyal(coconut) chutney or Sambhar :)

Colorful Vegee Pasta

Well this recipe is a result of some experimentation,hope you like it...

Ingredients
4tbsp olive oil
1tbsp butter or margarine
1tbsp minced garlic cloves
1chopped onion
1/2green bell pepper cut into squares
1/2yellow bell pepper cut into squares
3-4 mushrooms cut into small pieces
3-4 florets of brocolli
2tbsp boiled corn
2cups boiled pasta(any shape)
pulp of 1 tomato
2tbsp cream or malai
1/2tbsp black pepper powder
5-6 basil leaves
salt as per taste

METHOD:
1.Heat oil in a nonstick pan, and add butter or margarine to it.
2.Add garlic and onion and saute until pink.
3.Now add mushroom, corn and bell peppers.
4.Blanch brocolli in boiling water for 3-4 mins and then add to the pan, cook for 3-4 mins.
5.Now add the pasta, salt,cream or malai and black pepper powder,mix well.
6.Add tomato pulp, mix well and keep it covered for 2-3 mins.
7.Garnish with basil leaves and serve hot.

Sooji Upma

Sooji Upma


Ingredients:
-4tbsp ghee
-1 cup sooji or semolina
-1 inch ginger chopped
-1 chopped onion
-1/2 capsicum chopped
-1 carrot chopped
-3-4 dried red chillies
-1 tbsp mustard seeds
-1 tbsp chana dal
-5-6curry leaves
-3-4 cashews chopped
-salt as per taste
-3 cups water
-chopped coriander for garnishing


Mehod:
1.In  a pan heat 3 tbsp ghee and add red chillies,mustard seeds, chana dal, curry leaves and cashews.Wait till mustard seeds begin to splatter.
2.Now add onion and ginger and saute till onion turns pink.Now add capsicum and carrot and cook till crunchy, dont overcook.
3.Now add sooji and saute till it changes colour to offwhite.
4.Now add salt and water, mix well and simmer the gas stove.(Add more water if upma is too thick)
5.Cook for 30 seconds more, switch off the gas and garnish with one tbsp ghee and coriander and serve hot.


This is a very easy breakfast recipe which gets ready very fast and yummy to eat :)

Bhel puri

I luv all kinds of chats, Bhel puri is yet another favourite.Here's the recipe..

Ingredients:
1cup puffed rice(kurmure)
1/2cup sev
5-6papris
1chopped onion
1/2tomato chopped
1/2boiled potato chopped
dhania patti
4tbsp curd
2tbsp hari chutney
2tbsp tamarind chutney
4-5 ginger juveniles
1 chopped green chilli
salt as per taste

METHOD:
1.In a bowl mix sev, kurmure, papri, potato, tomato, green chilli, onion.
2.Mix curd and hari chutney together and add to the above mixture, also add tamarind chutney and salt.Mix well.
3.Garnish with dhania patti and ginger juveniles.Serve immediately.
Yummy chat is ready to eat :)

Chatpate Matar kulche

So dear foodies here's another interesting recipe...easy to make and yummy to tatse..:)
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups white matar(peas)
1 cup chopped tomato
1 cup chopped onion
4-5 chopped green chillies
10-12 ginger slices or juveniles
2 tbsp amchoor powder
1 tbsp garam masala
2 tbsp tamarind (imli) pulp
salt as per taste
1 tbsp roasted cumin powder
juice of 2 lemons
choppped coriander for garnishing
A packet of kulchas
50 gms of paneer for garnishing
3 tbsp oil

Method:
1. Soak matar for 3-4 hours in warm water and then boil them into a cooker (1 whistle is enough) and add salt as per taste.
2.Now add some oil to it alongwith chopped tomatoes, onions , chillies, cumin powder, amchoor powder, chillie powder, garam masala powder and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
3.To serve pour them in a bowl and garnish with green chilli slices, ginger juveniles, fresh coriander and very small paneer pieces.
4.Serve with Hot Kulchas...:)

Crispy besan bread

Well this is a perfect evening snack...and this actually consumes very less time...Here's the recipe..:)
Ingredients
4 slices of bread
3/4 cup besan or gram flour
water
2tbsp chopped onion
1-2tbsp chopped green chilles
1 tbsp each chopped bell peppers(green and red)
1tbsp very finely shredded cabbage
1 tbsp tomato cut in small pieces
1 tbsp chopped coriader
salt as per taste
3-4 tbsp oil
Method.
1. Mix besan, salt and water(enough to make a smooth batter) well, make sure no lumps remain.
2.Now add all the vegetables and mix well.
3.Take a non stick pan, and heat 1 tbsp oil.
4.Take the slices of bread and cut them into triangles, now dip each triangle in the batter and place them on the pan and pan fry on the both sides till crispy.
5.Do the same for other bread slices aswell and serve hot with Pudine ki chatni or tomato ketchup :)))
